About KoreaPeak

Practical, English-first guides for hiking and traveling in Korea.

KoreaPeak helps foreign visitors and residents explore Korea with confidence. We write practical, first-hand-style guides focused on the details that actually matter on the ground: exact subway exits and bus numbers, trailheads, opening hours, fees, reservation rules, and honest safety notes.

What we cover

  • Hiking Trails — subway-to-summit routes and day hikes across Korea.
  • Korea Travel — palaces, hanok villages, markets, beaches, and food spots.
  • Culture & Tips — transit, maps, payments, etiquette, and the how-tos travelers ask about most.

How we work

Our guides are researched against primary, official sources — the Korea National Park Service (KNPS), the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO / VisitKorea), and official transit information — and time-sensitive details (hours, fees, closures) are flagged so you can re-check before you go. Destination photos are used under the Korea Tourism Organization's open data terms and credited on the page.

The KoreaPeak app

We're also building the KoreaPeak app: subway-to-summit hiking guides with offline GPS, trail notes, and a clear "go or no-go" safety verdict in English. Learn more or join the waitlist at koreapeak.com.
